RAM CHARGE ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RAM CHARGE mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using RAM CHARGE, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information (optional)
Creating an account is optional — you can use RAM CHARGE without one. If you choose to create an account, we collect:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Password (encrypted — we never see or store your actual password)
  • City (optional)

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google directly.

Payment Information
When you pay for a charging session, payment is processed through our licensed payment partner. RAM CHARGE does not store your full card number. We may store a reference to your saved payment method (such as the last four digits of a card) to make future payments faster, if you choose to save one.

Charging Session Data
To operate our charging stations and calculate accurate pricing, we record details of each charging session — including which station was used, energy delivered, duration, and cost. This data is necessary to run the Service and is used for billing, station operation, and support purposes.

Device and Camera Access
The app requests camera access to scan station QR codes to start a charging session. We do not access your camera roll or store photos.

Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we store a device token (a unique identifier for your device) so we can send you updates about your charging sessions, such as when a session completes or fails. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or in the app.

Location
The app may request location access to help you find nearby charging stations on the map. You can decline this permission and still browse stations manually.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain charging stations and sessions
  • Process payments for charging sessions
  • Send you service-related notifications (if enabled)
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve and maintain the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers to operate RAM CHARGE, including:

  • Supabase — our database and backend hosting provider
  • Google — for optional sign-in
  • Firebase / Apple Push Notification service — to deliver notifications
  • Our payment processing partner — to handle payments securely

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their specific function and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Charging session records are retained as needed for billing, legal, and operational purposes, even if you later delete your account, unless deletion is legally required.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

  • Edit your account information at any time in the app's Settings
  • Delete your account at any time in the app's Settings (this permanently removes your account information)
  • Disable notifications at any time
  • Use RAM CHARGE without creating an account at all

6. Children's Privacy

RAM CHARGE is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
